Significance of Kumkum for Worship

During the Navaratri Festival, for the purpose of eradicating one’s demonic tendencies, the deities are worshiped with Kumkum (Sacred red powder). The red powder is a symbol of blood. The meaning of this worship is offering one’s blood to the Lord and receiving in return the gift of peace from the Lord.(Sai Baba, SS,11/94, p.290)

வழிபாட்டில் குங்குமம் உபயோகிப்பதின் முக்கியத்துவம்

நவராத்திரி பண்டிகையின் பொழுது, நம்முள் உள்ள அரக்க குணங்களை அழிப்பதற்காக அம்பாளுக்குக் குங்கும அர்ச்சனை செய்வது வழக்கத்தில் உள்ளது. சிகப்பு நிறம் இரத்தத்தின் அடையாளம். ஒருவர் தம் இரத்தத்தைக் கடவுளுக்கு அர்ப்பணித்து, அமைதி என்னும் பரிசைப் பெறுவதுதான் இந்த குங்கும அர்ச்சனையின் உட்கருத்து. (ஸ்ரீ சத்ய சாய் அருளமுதம் 11/94 பக் 290)

சுவாமியின் இந்த சிந்தனையுடன் ஏழாம் நாளை, அழகிய அன்ன பக்க்ஷி கோலத்தில் வரவேற்போம். ஆண்டாள் கண்ணணை கொலு பொம்மையில் காண தவறாதீர்.
