தியானத்திற்குரிய பாஞ்ச ஜன்யம்
பகவான் ஸ்ரீ கிருஷ்ணர் கரத்தில் இருக்கும் தெய்வீக சங்கு, ‘பாஞ்ச ஜன்யம்’ என்றழைக்கப்படுகிறது. இன்றைய வண்ணக் கோலங்களில் வித விதமான சங்குகளை தரிசிப்போம்! யுத்த களத்தில் சங்கங்கள் முழங்கப் படுவதை விளக்கும், பகவத் கீதை, முதல் அத்தியாயம், ஸ்லோகங்கள் 14 மற்றும் 15 பயில்வோம்!

ततः श्वेतैर्हयैर्युक्ते महति स्यन्दने स्थितौ ।
माधवः पाण्डवश्चैव दिव्यौ शङ्खौ प्रदघ्मतुः ॥1.14॥
tatah shvetair hayair yukte mahati syandane sthitau
maadhavah paandavash chaiva divyau shankhau pradadhmatuh ||1.14||
On the other side, both Lord Krishna and Arjuna, stationed on a great chariot drawn by white horses, sounded their transcendental conchshells.
தத: ஶ்வேதைர்ஹயைர்யுக்தே மஹதி ஸ்யந்தனே ஸ்திதௌ
மாதவ: பாண்டவஸ்சைவ திவ்யெள ஶங்கெள ப்ரதத்மது: ||1.14||
பின்பு வெள்ளைக் குதிரைகள் பூட்டிய சிறந்த தேரில் வீற்றிருந்த மாதவனும் பாண்டவனும் தங்கள் தெய்வீகச் சங்குகளை உரக்க ஊதினார்கள்.

पाञ्चजन्यं हृषीकेशो देवदत्तं धनञ्जयः ।
पौण्ड्रं दध्मौ महाशङ्खं भीमकर्मा वृकोदरः ॥1.15॥
paanchajanyam hrisheekesho devadattam dhananjayah
paundram dadhmau mahaashankham bheemakarmaa vrikodarah ||1.15||
Hrishikesha (Lord Krishna) blew His conchshell, called Paanchajanya; Dhananjaya (Arjuna) blew the Devadatta and Bhima, the performer of herculean tasks, blew his terrific conchshell, Paundra.
பாஞ்சஜன்யம் ஹ்ருஷகேஶோ தேவதத்தம் தனஞ்ஜய:
பௌண்ட்ரம் ததமௌ மஹாஶங்கம் பீமகர்மா வ்ருகோதர: ||1.15||
ஹிருஷீகேசன், பாஞ்சஜன்யம் என்ற சங்கை ஊதினான், தனஞ்ஜயன் தேவதத்தம் என்ற சங்கை நாதித்தான். பெருவினையாற்றுபவனாகிய பீமசேனன் பௌண்ட்ரம் என்ற பெரிய சங்கை ஒலித்தான்.
