கீதையின் முதல் அத்தியாயத்திலிருந்து, 23-வது ஸ்லோகம் பயின்று, அர்ச்சுனனின் சுய நம்பிக்கை மற்றும் தயார் நிலையையும் பற்றி அறிவோம்!
योत्स्यमानानवेक्षेऽहं य एतेऽत्र समागता:|
धार्तराष्ट्रस्य दुर्बुद्धेर्युद्धे प्रियचिकीर्षव: ||1.23||
yotsyamaanaan avekshe’ham ya ete’tra samaagataah
dhaartaraashtrasya durbuddher yuddhe priyachikeershavah||1.23||
I desire to see those who have come here to fight on the side of the evil-minded son of Dhritarasthra, wishing to please him.
Arjuna thus expressed his bravery, readiness, impatience, gallantry and determination to face the battle. This is an important stage in the story because up to this time Arjuna was an invincible hero full of self-confidence and enthusiasm with no signs of mental aberrations. However, a little later he became a completely changed personality.
யோத்ஸ்யமானானவேக்ஷேஹம் ய ஏதேsத்ர ஸமாகதா:|
தார்தராஷ்ட்ரஸ்ய துர்புத்தேர் யுத்தே ப்ரியசிகீர்ஷவ: ||23||
புல்லறிவாளனாகிய துரியோதனனுக்குப் ப்ரீதி பண்ணும் பொருட்டுப் போர் புரிய இங்குத் திரண்டிருப்போரை நான் காணவேண்டும்.
