வருக! 2022! – வண்ணக் கம்பளக் கோலங்கள்
நம் வீட்டின் வரவேற்பறையில் கண்கவர் வண்ணக் கம்பளக் கோலங்கள் விரித்து, வருகின்ற புத்தாண்டை இனிதே வரவேற்போம்! பகவத் கீதை அத்தியாயம் ஒன்றில், 26 மற்றும் 27 – வது ஸ்லோகங்கள் பயின்று, யுத்த களத்தில் முதன்முறையாக கௌரவ சேனையைக் கண்ணுற்ற அர்ச்சுனனின் மன நிலைக் குறித்து அறிவோம்!
तत्रापश्यत्स्थितान् पार्थ: पितृ नथ पितामहान् |
आचार्यान्मातुलान्भ्रातृ न्पुत्रान्पौत्रान्सखींस्तथा |
श्वशुरान्सुहृदश्चैव सेनयोरुभयोरपि || 1.26 ||
tatraa pashyat sthitaan paarthah pitrin atha pitaamahaan
aacharyaan maatulaan bhraatrun putraan pautraan sakheemstathaa
shvashuraan suhridashchaiva senayorubhayorapi || 1.26 ||
தத்ராபஶ்யத் ஸ்திதான் பார்த்த: பித்ரூனத பிதாமஹான்
ஆசார்யான் மாதுலான்ப்ராத்ரூன் புத்ரான் பௌத்ரான் ஸகீன்ஸ்ததா ச்வசுரான்ஸு ஹ்ருதஸ்சைவ ஸேனயோருபயோரபி || 1.26 ||
Then Arjuna saw stationed there in the armies, uncles, grandfathers, teachers, maternal uncles, brothers, sons, grandsons and friends too.
அங்கே இரண்டு சேனைகளிலும் இருக்கும் தந்தையரையும், பாட்டன்மாரையும், ஆசாரியர்களையும், மாதுலரையும், அண்ணன் தம்பிகளையும், மக்களையும், பேரர்களையும், தோழர்களையும், மாமனார்களையும், அன்பர்களையும் அவன் பார்த்தான்.

तान्समीक्ष्य स कौन्तेय: सर्वान्बन्धूनवस्थितान् |
कृपया परयाविष्टो विषीदन्निदमब्रवीत् || 1.27 ||
taan sameekshya sa kaunteyah sarvaan bandhoon avasthitaan
kripayaa parayaa’vishto visheedannidam abraveet || 1.27 ||
தான்ஸமீக்ஷ்ய ஸ கௌந்தேய: ஸர்வான்பந்தூனவஸ்திதான்
க்ருபயா பரயாSSவிஷ்டோ விஷீதன்னிதமப்ரவீத் || 1.27 ||
He saw fathers-in-law and friends also in both armies. Kaunteya (son of Kunti) i.e. Arjuna seeing all these relatives arrayed there, became overwhelmed by supreme compassion and said this sorrowfully. Arjuna seeing his elders and other relations, teachers, friends and well wishers arrayed in the battle ready to fight suddenly developed extreme self-pity and compassion. His manliness gave way to faint-heartedness thinking about consequences that will follow in waging the war with his kinsmen which will result in destroying his own race. The valiant hero, Arjuna, transformed himself into a kinsman of the opposite side i.e. as a son, a brother, a student etc. This change of disposition was verily spontaneous. It was not due to any discrimination, but on account of the very absence of it and because of an erroneous understanding called delusion and mental confusion called grief which prevents right perception of the situation.
குந்தியின் மகனாகிய அர்ஜுனன் நிற்கின்ற பந்துக்கள் எல்லாரையும் உற்றுப் பார்த்துப் பேரிரக்கம் படைத்தவனாய் விசனத்துடன் இங்ஙனம்
பகர்ந்தான்.
