Aroodra Darishanam, also known as Tiruvaadirai festival, falls in the sacred month of Margazhi and is celebrated mostly in Tamilnadu and Kerala, with great religious fervour in all Shiva temples.

The festival celebrates the ecstatic cosmic dance of Lord Shiva as Natraj,
in whose form He performs the three functions – Srishti-Stithi & Laya.

The purpose of His enchanting dance is to release the souls of all beings from the snare of maya or illusion.

Let us all celebrate this auspicious day, with enchanting Kolam, capturing the serene beauty of Lord Shiva, while we sing His glory through melodious Shiva Bhajans, seeking His Blessings!
