Koodaravalli is celebrated on the 27 th day of the month of Margazhi when Sri Andal , the composer of 30 Tiruppavai Paasurams completes her ‘Paavai Nonbu’, a month-long fasting.

Tiruppavai is actually a wakeup – call to devotees to rise early and sing the glories of Lord Vishnu, akin to the ‘Nagarsankeertan’ which our Swamy had been laying great emphasis on.
