இயற்கை தந்த பரிசுகள்
இறைவன், மனிதகுல நன்மைக்காக, வண்ண மயமான இயற்கையைப் படைத்தார். அந்த இயற்கையின் படைப்புகளையே வண்ணக் கோலங்களாய் வழங்குதல், அழகுக்கு அழகூட்டுகிறது. இந்த பொங்கல் பண்டிகைக் காலத்தில், வண்ண மயமான மலர்கள், காய்கறிகள், பறவைகள், மற்றும் விலங்கினங்களைப் பரிசாக நமக்களித்த இயற்கை அன்னையை வணங்குவோம்! வாழ்த்துவோம்!
கீதைத் தொடரில், இன்று நாம் பயில இருப்பது, மாயையில் மூழ்கிய அர்ச்சுனனின் மனக் குழப்பத்தை விளக்கும், முதல் அத்தியாய ஸ்லோகங்கள் 45 மற்றும் 46! பயில்வோம்! பாடுவோம்!
अहो बत महत्पापं कर्तुं व्यवसिता वयम्|
यद्राज्यसुखलोभेन हन्तुं स्वजनमुद्यता:||1.45||
aho bata mahat paapam kartum vyavasitaa vayam
yadraajya sukhalobhena hantum swajanam udyataah||1.45||
அஹோ பத மஹத்பாபம் கர்தும் வயவஸிதா வயம் யத்ராஜ்யஸுகலோபேன ஹந்தும் ஸ்வஜனமுத்யதா:||1.45||
அரசசுக ஆசையினால் சுற்றத்தாரைக் கொல்லத் துணிதல் என்ற பெரும் பாபத்தைச் செய்யத் தலைப்பட்டோம், அந்தோ!
यदि मामप्रतीकारमशस्त्रं शस्त्रपाणय:|
धार्तराष्ट्रा रणे हन्युस्तन्मे क्षेमतरं भवेत् ||1.46||
yadi maam aprateekaaram ashastram shastrapaanayah
dhaartaraashtraa rane hanyus tanme kshemataram bhavet||1.46||
Alas, what a pity that we have resolved to commit a great sin by being eager to kill our own kith and kin out of greed for the pleasures of a kingdom ! It would, indeed, be better for me if the sons of Dhritarashtra, armed with weapons, were to kill me in the battle while I remain unarmed and unresisting.
யதி மாமப்ரதீகாரம ஶஸ்த்ரம் ஶஸ்த்ர பாணய:
தார்தராஷ்ட்ரா ரணே ஹன்யுஸ்தன்மே க்ஷேமதரம் பவேத்||1.46||
எதிர்க்காமலும் ஆயுதமில்லாமலும் இருக்கிற என்னைக் கையில் ஆயுதம் பிடித்து திருதராஷ்டிர மக்கள் யுத்தத்தில் கொல்லுவார்களானால் அதுவே எனக்குப் பெரு நன்மையாகும்.
